Well, my name is Avinash, I work for Omega Healthcare Management services Pvt. Ltd. as a database administrator. It is pleasure working here with great support from colleagues. I have over 2 years experience as a database administrator, I worked on Oracle at the beginning of my carrier and right now I am working on Microsoft SQL Server 2005. My skills include backup and recovery, high availability- replication, mirroring, log shipping, performance tuning, security, database designing and last but not the least writing scripts for automating the tasks.
I used to read a lot of forums and blogs for learning purpose and I still continue it as I believe that (actually i modified the original quote 'learning never ends, and as we enter the next century, it will be more and more important for all Americans to be lifelong '). This is the first time I am trying to write a blog, I hope you guys like it. I would welcome all you guys out there to take an active participation in running the blog.
